On September 3rd, The SSA attended the raising of the Red Ensign at the Civic Centre alongside representatives from the Seafarers Centre, Apostleship of the sea, MCA, MNWB, Southampton Master Mariners and ABP Southampton.

 

Also present were several very elderly seafarers who turned out to remember past colleagues and at the other end of the age spectrum, cadets from the Southampton Sea Cadet unit.
